Loom Foundation is a Swiss registered non-profit organisation founded by Joss Garman in 2025, with a seat in Geneva. The Foundation’s mission is to develop and advance solutions to global environmental, socio-economic and security challenges and to build towards a future free from poverty, where people and the planet can flourish. The Foundation operates as a not-for-profit, independent of political or ideological viewpoints and is active globally.

Loom Strategy Centre, led by Joss Garman, is the first – and for the time being – the sole flagship initiative of Loom Foundation. 

The Foundation (and thus the Centre) are philanthropically-funded, with no commercial or government funders. Currently, the Foundation receives funds from Our Common Home and the New Energy Industrial Strategy Centre. 

Governance

The highest governing body of the Foundation is the Board. It exercises the overall financial oversight and general management of the Foundation. The Foundation’s Board is composed of the following members:

  • Yves Daccord
  • Nicola Peart
  • Kees Matthijssen

The Executive Director of Loom Strategy Centre is accountable to the Foundation’s Board. 

As a Swiss non-profit foundation, Loom is placed under the regulatory oversight of the Swiss Federal Supervisory Authority.
